Graham Wilson is a Chartered Accountant who has more than 35 years’ experience of insurance taxation as Head of Tax at LV= (Liverpool Victoria) and NPI.  Graham was heavily involved in acquisition and disposal activity whilst at LV and has extensive experience of Part VII transfers and transfers of engagements between proprietary and mutual life assurance companies and friendly societies.   

He is a past Chairman of ILAG’s Tax Practitioner Group, Secretary of the Association of Financial Mutuals Tax Committee and ABI Tax Strategy and Life Tax Issues groups member.  In these roles, he considered with HMRC and HM Treasury proposed legislation and other tax issues impacting insurance companies and innovative capital structures for mutuals and friendly societies.

Graham was ILAG Practitioner of the Year in 2012.
